Overview
Africa faces an acute housing shortage, with much of the existing housing stock not fit for the future. Affordable, quality housing is essential for rural development in Africa. Improving living conditions through the provisions of safe and healthy living environments can lift individuals out of poverty who are living in substandard housing conditions with inadequate sanitation and no access to basic amenities.
NMSI has built a variety of housing types, both as staff or student accommodation and as standalone projects.
We have provided single-storey and multi-storey housing solutions in several countries, ensuring optimal design for affordability, durability, flexibility and future expansion.
Through flexible design work, each house is built to expand as the families inside them grow. For example, a two-bedroom home can be extended to become a three-bedroom home.
Each unit comes equipped with sanitary ware, kitchen appliances and can be supplied with high quality furniture, providing a comfortable and durable home for families depending on client requirements.
However we don’t just build a housing estate, we plan in community facilities to enhance the lives of residents with facilities such as commercial space, schools and playgrounds.
