NMS Director wins Institution of Civil Engineers Award

Peter Marks, a founding Director of NMS, was awarded with the prestigious International Medal at the Institution of Civil Engineers’ 2022 Awards Ceremony, held in London on 14th October 2022. 

The International Medal specifically recognises a civil engineer who has prime responsibility for an outstanding contribution to civil engineering outside the United Kingdom.

As Programme Director, Peter oversaw the engineering and turnkey delivery of 115 sustainable, low carbon Health Centres across Zambia for the Ministry of Health, representing a step change in the quality and availability of healthcare in rural Zambian (in support of UN SDG3).

Peter’s approach of bringing the principles of production engineering to Civil Engineering and Project Management, has enabled NMSI to deliver design and engineering solutions that are helping to decarbonise the health sector and mitigate against further climate change.
